GRE Test Day | Magoosh GRE Blog

If you do, you will be dismissed from the test, your test fees will be forfeited and your scores will be canceled even if dismissal is not enforced on the day of the test.

GRE 2016 Results: ETS sends the candidates an email notification when their respective scores are available. Though the tests aren̢۪t as robust as some of their counterparts from other test prep companies, taking 20 practice tests will do you a world of good, because you will be thorough with the test format, and time management. Its a way of leveling the academic playing field for all applicants. Every question in the new GRE Verbal section is presented within a contextualized format; analogies and antonyms are no longer on the test.

Essentially, it tests your ability to reason with numbers.. This class was concise, educational, and very beneficial.".

If you choose to report your scores, those scores will become a part of reportable history and cannot be canceled

If you choose one correct and one wrong answer in sentence equivalence, you will lose out on scores for the entire question

Analytic Writing 2 essays, 30 minutes each
The writing section of the GRE is meant to measure your analytical reasoning, organization, and analysis skills. The two essays include an issue essay and an argument essay. There are no right or wrong answers to the essay questions, and the essays will be read and scored by 2 (and possibly 3) readers. Verbal Reasoning Two sections each with 20 questions, 30 minutes for each section
Each section includes a mix of reading comprehension question, text completion, and sentence equivalence questions. Reading comprehension questions are either single answer, multiple answers, or select in passage, while text completion questions will have either one, two, or three blanks. For more information on each of these question types, please see that tutorial section.
Quantitative Reasoning Two sections each with 20 questions, 35 minutes for each section
Each quantitative reasoning section (also common called the "Math GRE sections") contains a mix of multiple choice, quantitative analysis, and user input questions. For more information about the quantitative reasoning questions, proceed to the appropriate tutorial.
Unscored Section* An experimental section that will either be a math or a verbal section may also be included on the exam. You will know if you were given a math or verbal experimental section because you will have two of those sections during the test, but you won̢۪t know which of two identical sections will be experimental. The experimental section does not count toward your score, and is used by ETS to try out new questions for possible use in future exams.

How is the test scored? Your Verbal and Math scores will each be reported on a scale that runs from 130-170. You can also request the bulletin from Infozee at Request Test Forms and it will be delivered to your given address. Test centres cannot provide printed copies of unofficial score reports.
